How to i make search box history go away?

how do i make the search box thats at the very top of the window history go away or at least clean it

Internet options > delete all search strings. If you're a windows user, that's clicking on "start" , then clicking on "control panel", then internet options.

Go to Tools(should be on the top of your screen if you are using IE, then Internet Options, then History....there are options to clear history

You need to clear or disable Auto Complete. This saves all previous searches in your search bar. Here's how to fix the problem:

For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.
