  1. No, in general we resemble the resident population of whatever nation we're in.

Ironically, proportional to our numbers, more Jews in n**i Germany were Aryan (blonde hair, blue eyes) then in the German population.  This poll, undertaken by the n***s, was intended to be used to show negatively on Jews.  Of course, once the results were compiled the information was surpressed and we were murdered en masse anyway.

  2. Probably not...and please be careful as your manner of question borders on disrespect. Capital J, and the term would be Jewish.  As his what religion he is, that should be no big deal between "friends."

  3. Judaism is not a disease. It is not a disfiguration and nothing to be ashamed of. It is a religion. A set of beliefs. There is no accent to one's beliefs, no physical characteristics and no way to tell other than asking. Please, be kind to others' beliefs and do not attempt to stereotype others with accents or physical characteristics. Show a little respect.

PS. To "Farmer plows ground", not all Jewish people follow kosher rules (and even those who do eat chicken without "some special treatment") and this does not make them any 'more or less Jewish'. Please do a little research before posting.

PPS. And "Kiki" your 'chiro' sounds like a complete racist. Jews do not believe themselves to be "superior" and do not have a special set of mannerisms or accents. Please, you are trying to make Judaism sound like a cult!

PPPS. Thank you for the edit. I thought you were being racist, like many of the posters on this question.

PPPPS. "DaMane", Jewish people do not have a uniform. Judaism is a religion, not a boyscout troop.

  4. There is no way at all.  Why don't you just come out and ask him what his religion is.

No, if they are 2nd and 3rd generation Americans, they won't have an accent except the regional accent of the part of the country they were raised in.

Some Jew are religious and some are not.

Orthodox and Conservative Judaism defines a Jew by the mother not the father. They state they get the nation from the mother and the tribe from the father and if they don't have a Jewish father they belong to the tribe of the nearest male relative on the mother's side of the family.  Since surnames traditionally are passed down by the father, you cannot identy as person as Jewish by their name.  Also when surnames were taken in Europe during the last melennium Jews frequently had the same surnames as Christians.

  5. Ask him.  It is a fair question in most circumstances. If he is, you would not want to invite him to lunch and serve ham sandwiches.

If you want to find out because your parents don't let you play with non-Christians, you've got a bigger problem than we can solve here. You might remind them that Mary, Jesus's mother, was Jewish, and most Christians get along just fine with her.

Jewish people come in all sizes and shapes, which is one of the reasons the Mossad is the world's best secret intelligence agency; they can recruit Jews who look Swedish or Turkish or Argentinian.

People who grew up speaking Hebrew and learned English / Spanish / Swedish later on will have an accent, just like people who grew up speaking English and learned Hebrew / Spanish / Swedish later on.

  6. Jewish is a religion.  There are a couple of colored Jews N America, but N the USA they are generally Caucasian.  My chiro. is Italian & Irish & says he cant stand Jews.  Me being black, asked him how he can even tell that its not just another white person & all of his answers were based on the "Actions" of Jews.  He confirmed, however, that if they kept their mouths closed &, didnt have an extra large nose (because they all dont) that he would in fact not know.  Doc. swears that as soon as they begin 2 speak, its evident.  He says, listening to them speak & watching their mannerisms/actions makes him say, they believe they're superior.  I still cant tell unless they tell me.

  7. If he is your friend, why does it matter?  If he is Jewish, or Shinto or Baptist.  Friends are friends.  If you are honestly curious about his religion, just like you might be honestly curious about what soda he likes or what his favorite movie is, ask him.  But if you are trying to find out because he isn't really a friend but some guy you know and you are trying to figure something else out- don't bother.  People are people.

  8. they often wear the star of david as necklaces. my wife and her family always wear theres like its a part of there uniform or something. kind of like christians wearing a cross all the time.

  9. Jewish people don't eat a certain kind of foods. Tell him you love shellfish, and ask his opinion about shellfish. Invite him to eat out, and recommend some pork dish to him (but make sure he doesn't pray for Allah). See if he eats at KFC. (Jewish people only eat chicken with some special treatment) Don't forget to ask "are you religious" when he rejects.

If he doesn't care, he couldn't be Jewish (a serious one).

  10. Look in the mirror.

  11. Short of checking to see if he is circumsized, practicing male Jews are best identified by the yamukes they wear to Synagogue, although a lot of Americans of all religions are routinely circumsized as well.  In other words, there are no identifying physical characteristics that mark an individual as Jewish.

    P. S.-- BTW, Christianity could be considered a Jewish sect (or at least it originally was by the Romans).
