How to identify schools for your house?

I am trying to buy a house in bay area. My problem is I don't know what schools (elementary, high) are for that house?

Anyone can help? thanks!

go to this website

http://www.greatschools.net

go to serach schools by your address

type in that address and it will show u the list of schools closest and farthest away

Contact the school board  and also do a search online that resembles this  " San Fransisco school district map"

Perhaps http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=... (google maps). Identify the area you will be going to and have a look around for schools near there. I mean I thought my area was virtually unknown, it's a bit scary just how accurate it is. It won't tell you want type of school they are, so you'll have to do your own research via. google on that.

ask around. get a list of schools in the area then go online, go to their sites and find out where your house falls in which school district
