My camera is a Kodak easy Share CX7430, and I am using a SanDisk memory card. My files are saved in the .MOV format. How do I import them to Windows Movie Maker? I have been struggling with it for a while.

  2. u cant import a MOV file u have to convert it to something else, WMM can also read mp4 if u have Vista so its all good

    http://www.aone-video.com/mov.htm

  3. there should be a "fire wire" im pretty sure then it will come up. Download it, go to WMM and press import and select.

    hope i helped!

  4. Hi: U can take directly off your video souce, camera, video camera, dvd, vcr, etc..open wmm and read ; how to capture video.. u can plug your device directly into your computer r your memory stick( if you have slots for sd's, rmemory stick)..it's not hard just follow the on-screen instructions..it guides U through the process easily..have fun.

  5. You can't windows movie maker supports these file types.  Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma

 Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf

 Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

Get a better editing software.WMM is not that great, I use pinacle studio 11 plus. (not free). It doesn't care what kind of file you are using, but you have to learn how to use the software. Nothing is easy these days.

Handbrake is a free video converter. I have only used it to convert minidvd's to my pc, it seemed pretty easy to use. I haven't used it for converting .mov files.
