By studying hard and getting to know the topic quite well; by showing an interest in the topic; by making an effort to talk to the lecturer, ask questions, and show an interest to learn more; and by complimenting the lecturer on his lecture: it'll make him feel good, and he'll remember that it was you who said it. :)

Also, by not bragging a lot. Don't brag. It's a turn off if he realizes you are bragging. Yeah throw in a few notable things about you here and there, but don't overdo or else he will realize you are trying to impress him & will think lowly of you.

Don't mess up your life plan it and work it out sincerely... people will start to know you and you will get reconised by people around you. Once the attention of the people is drawn towards you....
