  1. You need to buy more/bigger ram sticks

  2. buy more RAM stick,

but you  need to worry more about upgrading your processor than RAM

  3. You need to take it to a computer store and by ram and they should also install it...

Another option is you can go to Notepad and type this

    mystring=(80000000)

then save it ram.vbs and then click on it. This may help, but it may not, but what it does is speed up you computer. Try it out, also this video is on youtube the link is below.

  4. Yes, 256MB is low these days with memory being so cheap and WinXP and its apps getting more and more demanding.

You need 184pin DDR (not DDR2/3) PC3200. I recommend 1GB. It will only cost about $30 as here

You can install it alongside the orig 256 to make 1.256 GB.

You can install up to 2GB of memory but have only 2 slots so to go higher you'd have to remove your 256MB. 2GB will only benefit in some cases but only while running very heavy apps.

    To install:

    -power off

    -open case

-find where you see a memory card like the one(s) you bought

-insert memory card (only fits 1 way) in open slot beside occupied one

-white plastic latches should pop up to lock it in

-power up again: memory should be recognized

-if things don't look good, don't panic, just reverse the install process and try exchanging the cards between slots, sometime the larger one has to take the first spot

    hope that helps!

  5. First search open your computer to see if it as any RAM slots available (you can google for how to do it, try youtube for videos), if you have just buy another RAM memory, if not take of the one you have and buy bigger RAMs to replace them.

Try a program called CPU-Z, it will tell what ram you got and what slots there in.

(P.S: don't forget to check if they are DDR, DDR2, DDR3 or any other, you can see that to in CPU-Z)
