  1. Variety is the spice of life and also the path to improved endurance. To increase endurance and to also improve your times you should adopt a training program that includes days when you do long runs other days for short and fast intervals and longer, slightly slower intervals for speed training and days of hill training. You can also mix up distance, speed and hills to create even more variety. Challenge your cardio-pulmonary system but remember to give your body time to grow by taking sufficient recovery time.  

    You can monitor your progress by checking your resting heart rate first thing in the morning and then watching it go down as your overall fitness and endurance improves.  


  2. run hills or bike or both

  3. do shuttles. so go to a football pitch and sprint to the penalty spot and back. then to the outside of the box and back and so on.

    or you could just run alot.
