Riding GT force with 140mm fox float r forks, suggestions to improve handling (tracks like a limping pig on climbs) with out changing out forks, will riser bars and shorter / longer stem make positive impacts and allow the pig to hold a steady line in the granny ring ?

  1. I'm afraid nothing but a lockout feature can really help you with climbing using a 140mm fork.

A riser bar can help a bit but a 140mm fork is not meant for climbing at all,it is meant to take hits.Because if it were,it would come with a lockout feature.

So are you with me so far?

The fork in your question comes with a lockout feature. If it is not working get the fork serviced by any Fox retailer.

I hope this can be of help to you.

  2. risers will assist you in climbing. a shorter stem will give a tighter feel handling wise.
