Question:

How to improve jumps???

i am a dancer and can do split leaps and all that stuff but they dont go high.. like it is a full split but the height just isnt there. (also i would have a switch and a toe touch if it werent for this) how can i improve my jumps??? thankkssss

  1. I used to have the same problem. Make sure you're traveling when you jump instead of jumping in one place. That helped me go much higher. Also, when you develope your first leg for the split leap make sure you push hard off the ground with the back leg(this will help you move forward and go high) Hope that helps=]


  2. My lyrical teacher said that to get higher jumps you have to stretch the achilles tendon. By stretching it you are improving the length. People with longer achilles tendons are able to jump higher.

    To stretch this, do lunges.

    push down in the plea sry i dont think i spelled that right   and keep your chin up my dance teacher tells me to think of jumping on a trampoline use ur whole foot just start small

  4. think of when you jump try to have a non shelaunt attitude for gravity, come on girl ballerinas have to have no regard what so ever for gravity. and think of flying into the air, you know, ballet isn't all physical its mental to just imaging and your jumps will fly to a new level.
