  1. Very simple things

    Dont exercise for 3 days - your body will relax and recover and refuel

    Sleep well every night

    Drink plenty (so your pee is clear)

    Be relaxed and well prepared before the mile

    before the trial, you dont need any particular foods, perhaps a few sweets though but not too many

  3. basically,, you have the REALLY want it more than anything else when you are racing.  The more you want it,, the harder and faster you will run becasue it is important to you. Just eat "healthy", get enough rest, and do you best to not get hurt or sick.
