How to improve mile time???

im 14 years old and every week in p.e, my class has to run a mile. I always get upper 7 minutes in the mile and i try diffrent techniqes to improve it like, sprinting first then jog or jog 1st then sprint. Overall, i'm always getting upper 7 minutes! Can anyone tell me advice on improving my time???

  1. when i was in PE, i always jogged first, then sprinted the last lap. i also found swimming helps with your endurance, cause it builds up your lungs.


  2. work out, run at the gym, lift weights (legs) but keep your average weight by eating better.  you gain weight from working out, but you can also lose that same weight by eating better.  and eat right for more energy

  3. go barefoot until your feet toughen up and then run with running shoes on

  4. If you ever have to stop and walk, then just jog the whole way. If you have trouble breathing after a while, breathe through your nose for as long as you can.

  5. run faster!

  6. jog strong and steady the whole time

  7. KEEP A PACE. do a fast jog the whole time, or whatever you are comfertable with. if you want to get a better time, you'll have to run more than once a week.
