Question:

How to improve my LOWER vocal range?

My upper range is already good enough to the point that I'm satisfied (of course, I wouldn't mind a few extra notes), but how do I improve my LOWER range? I can never hit the low notes in songs.

I've asked this question before, and only received answers concerning my upper range--please do not answer if that's all you know.

  1. Well, are you a guy or girl? How old are you? If you're a guy and you're junior high/high school age, your voice could simply not be low enough yet. I'm eighteen, and I still have trouble singing below an octave below middle C. I'm a tenor and proud, haha. If you're a girl, I don't exactly know why. Some are born sopranos or altos. My best advice is practice, and see where the division is between your head voice/falsetto and your regular pitch.

  2. practice singing the lower notes!
