  1. You could try taking an SAT prep course, or use books that give you practice tests and explain the answers.  Just practice those sections over and over again.  I used a Kaplan book, and it helped me raise my total score by 200 points.

  2. Yes I do!

I actually have a friend who recieved an early admissions acceptance to Cornell University last year with only a score of a 2060. She got a perfect score on math and only a 650 on reading. However, for writing she only achieved a score of a 610. I would say to apply early, if you don't have any financial issues. As for improving your CR and Writing score, for writing it's easy. I would get a tutor for grammar, because the grammar counts for 2/3 of the test and the essay is 1/3. You could simply bs the essay and still recieve a decent score. However, for the multiple choice questions I would purchase the Kaplan book and there's one particular book for writing. I completed that book right before the test, panicked, and recieved a score of a 720. I know its not good, but it's better than I had intended. Anyway, as for CR, all I could say is to memorize vocabulary and do many reading passages. I know it's frustrating, but that's the only way for reading. Also, even if you do the following, it's very difficult to raise your reading score. At best ,you could improve 50-100, points. However, it's still better than not improving at all right?

  3. Study with a book. I recommend Princeton Review and Tutorfox new SAT guide, http://www.tutorfox.com/satguide.html

With both books I improved my score from 1660 to 2120 in only 2 months of summer. Good luck, and let me know if you need any more help.
