How to improve my computer speed

i've computer with 1GB ram and pentium D 2.8 processor. computer has become slower during startup. please give me some tips to avoid this delay during startup.

in start,all programs accessories run disc defrag and disc clean up also get yourself a registry cleaner they are brill for adding speed,keep on top of visiting tools,internet options clear history,cookies and temp files.If you use your pc alot run that disc clean up quite often too.Check your start up programs do you need them all? sometimes paint programs,printers,cams are all clogging start up there's no need they can be switched on as n when needed.

There must be many programs at start up. Run MSCONFIG and remove unnecessary programs from start up. Also there is a possibility of virus and spy ware in your PC. Install anti virus & antispyware. also defragmenter your hard disk once in three month.

first go msconfig , then  go startup and disable some of the unuse program,it might help

go to start run and type msconfig then click on the start up tab and unclick all of the stuff you dont want to start when you log on to your computer

defragment your hard drive, you may need another GB of RAM, and if your hard drive has less than 10 gb of free space, you need to free it up. A fresh install of windows always helps speed issues.
