How to improve my egg beating kick?

I'm 17 n I jz join water polo... I can't swim well that's y the coach asked me to be the goalie.. the problem is.. I can only tread in water for awhile.. and I cannot jump in the water..wat kind of training shud I do to improve my skills

  1. Get to a pool with deep water and tread.  Just egg beat until you are tired.  Once it becomes easier you can start treading with weights like an empty milk jug with water above your head.  Also lunging exercises in the water help a lot for goalies.  Try launching yourself to the right as if you are going to stop a ball.  Center yourself then repeat to the right.

    For on land exercises do a lot of squats and wall sits.  Lunges help too, just be careful not to hurt your knee.  Also, running doesn't hurt either.  Good luck to you!
