How to improve my endurance for basketball?

i plan to tryout for varsity basketball this year a sophomore and i really need to get in shape.currently i can run no more than 15minutes,i wanna be able to run more because i heard that at high school basketball tryouts the coach makes player run a lot so i just want to get in the best shape possible so i don't suffer too much during the tryouts.i think i can make the team if i could just get in shape. the tryouts are in a month. by the way i am 6'2 175 pounds.and any tips would be greatly appreciate it. thx

  1. for my conditioning in indiana varsity basketball last year we'd run suicides in 27 seconds. we'd also run sets of sidelines, like touch 4 sidelines in 15 seconds, 8 sidelines in 30 seconds, 12 sidelines in 45 seconds and 16 sidelines in 1 minute. sometimes we would also have to run 10 suicides in 9 minutes. don't know if any of these will work just ideas.


  2. Yea you will run...so try to run outside if you have no where to run..then try the ymca if not then do set ups or something that will make you sweat or tired.even playing a nintendo wii helps with endurance
