  1. do lessons

warm up before each lesson, to relax ur muscles and make them more elasticity

    lol

  2. practice makes perfect, always lock your arms && try going to a local gymnastics place && sign up if your not up for spending money have someone that you know spot you && help you it would also help if the person does gymnastics!!!hope i helped.

  3. you should be in good shape and taking clasess.

  4. go online and type in the city and state which you live and then gymnastics classes. you will find locations for gymnastics classes in your area! dont forget to stretch and remember PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! (or as close to perfect as you can get!)

  5. runn a lot and if you are not really really muscular you are not a true gymnast practice practice practice

  6. make sure you:

    - warm-up. i.e. ( running a couple laps, sit-ups, handstands, cartwheels, pushups, bridges, and maybe some backwalkovers.)

-stretch your: legs, shoulders, ankles, wrists, do the splits or as far as you can go and hold it for a couple seconds.

-practice skills that need work. i.e.

(handstands/cartwheels on beam, pullovers on uneven bars and back hip circles, maybe giants, front tucks on tramp, some aerials in the foam pit, back handsprings and front handsprings, increase your speed with the vault.)

its hard to tell you exact stunts to do when i don`t know your level. you need to be able to do tumbling on the floor and don`t doubt yourself when trying something new, have confidence or else you could freak yourself out and fall. practice, practice, practice!!

    good luck.

*EDIT* whoever said "if you are not muscular you are not a true gymnast" thats a bunch of bull sh*t cause not all gymnasts are really, really muscular, gymnastics is not based on your muscle, its based on skill.

  7. Take gymnastics over the summer

And also dance would really help. It teaches you good stretches and it will get you  more flexible. Plus you have to do dance moves in gymnastics and if you are on a really competitive gymnastics team its a requirment to take dance

  8. well i'm sure your in shape already, but since i'm not in gymnastics. the only thing i would do is stay in really good shape and stretch a lot

    good luck!

  9. sit ups. lots and lots of sit ups.

  10. PRACTISE LOTS OF STRECHES

  11. Add ballet and stretch classes.

  12. Lunges are excellent for the legs, do them around a whole room.. also do pushups!!!... practice on the blance beam if you have on available to you.. walk on the beam and bend down.. touch the beam with your hands... and lift your leg up in back of you... stretch everyday! straddle splits front right..or front left whichever is more comfortable to you.. when your muscles ache alot!! walk it out! keep tough and dont baby them it will take longer for them to heal... pull ups on bard and flip yourself over the bar backwards.. a couple times. thats good for your arms plus its fun! : ) also practice front limbers or whatever you know just keep practicing

  13. take gymnastics

  14. you should work out at the gym if you can but if not than make sure you have good arm strength. practice push ups and handstands around the house to improve that. also core muscle is outstandingly important!!! do crunches and sit ups to help with that. drink plenty of water and get motivated and exercise everyday! doing squats, lunges, and the splits helps stretch out those legs. you have to have a steady front handspring and back handspring to really impress your coach and you'll basically have a guaranteed in. but you have to know how to shout, have spirit, and smile wide. = ] GOOD LUCK

  15. It differs from high school to high school, but my guess would be.

Floor- Back handspring, Back tuck, Front handspring, Front tuck, Back extension roll and splits jumps, Walkovers

Beam- Jumps, back walkover, cartwheel, round off

    Vault- Front handspring

Bars- Back hip circle, Front hip circle, Squat on, Fly away, Free hip circle

Stuff like that, but I'm not really familiar with girls gymnastics

Make sure to condition too and stretch!

  16. i say start excersising alot n mainly streching *cant spell haha* get flex!
