It is true,  that major part of India is rural and rural development is most desired wish full thought with most of the young prospecting Indians, in India or abroad.

Your Question, is not specifying nay particular area, nor any direction in which you wish Rural India, to develop (improve).

Rural India is getting urbanised very fast. Therefore, educating Rural Indian, will be prove most fruit full, by having well equipped schools, vocational training institutes, and colleges, so that Rural Indians make there own plans.

Moreover, educating Rural Indian at their door step, should be taken by all the State Governments with public participation through NGO / NPO, with Industry endorsed Curriculum, to make the entire academics and education, very purposeful.

I don't think literacy can solve this issue. If someone is from rural and if he educated what he will do is, he will move to Urban city for better job. And there is very thin possibilities for a nice to get into Indian politics.

First of all in our Country Metropolitan cities are suffering with unplanned roads and drainage system and you are speaking to improve rural areas.

Only a few educated guys work to improve the nation not all.
