  1. Try doing Pilates a couple times a week. It strengthens your core muscles and works on balance, flexibility, and strength as well and can help you get your whole body in balance if your core muscles are strong.

  2. Single leg dead lifts are exactly what you need.  They are actually very complicated so you need to find someone that knows how to do them correctly to show you.  It is all about form, don't be concerned with how much you lift.

Secondly for kicks, try to stand straight up when you kick don't lean back.

  3. Get a trainer

  4. Something We do in my shaolin training is "mayflower post training". Google it. You could also use bricks or platforms as a substitue. Practice hoping around on them and balancing on one foot, while kicking with the other. Its the ultimate balance training. We often spar on the posts. This is gauranteed to work! Good luck!

  5. Simple solution...dont kick high. If your emphasis is keeping a high center of gravity, then there is no balance (equates no power) to your strikes. Establishing a solid foundation (low center of gravity) will give you all the balance you need.

  6. If you do standing and or ma bu (horse stance) practice.  You should do it as low as you can go but keep your back straight and your pelvis forward (but not overly so).  If you can do 90/90 for 3 min. that would be good but not against the wall.  Do this 3 times a day for 1 month.  Each week add 30 seconds.   You might want to start out with one or two min.   If it's easy you are probably doing it wrong.   The top of your head and bottom of your tail bone should be in a straight line.  No tension in your back.  Everything rests on your quads.

  7. Try riding an eliptical with your eyes closed.

also dont use your hands when riding it.

It feels awkward and like you are gonna fall hence

the practice of keeping great balance.

I do it everyday for about 30-min to an hour.
