How to increase internet speed of gprs modem

Question

i have a pay monthly plan with a mobile operator and i use my d900 to connect to the net.. when connected it says the internet speed is 460kbps but in actual fact whati experience is 2kbps to 9kbps...

how can i make the speed faster...

any help? thx...

i suspect that the 460kbps is the speed of your connection from your phone to pc.

the max speed for gprs is only about 80kbps or 10 kBytes/s you can't do anything about it unless you upgrade to hsdpa
