Ankle Weights lead to water being in your knees, so I would suggest that as a last resort.... but what I did were plyometrics... all u have to do is google plyometrics for jumping and you will get all you need to know... I never used or know anyone whose used jumpsoles, but if u want to get them go right ahead.. .I suggest plyometrics though because they strengthen your legs and your core, which you're gonna need if u ever plan on dunking on someone

  3. Many people believe that the quads or hamstrings are the keys, but focus on building up your calf muscles. This can be done by purchasing "Jump Soles" which are like platforms that strap to your shoes, or by simply staning with your soles on a step and your heels hanging over.  While standing, roll along the ball of your foot, going from as high as you can on your toes then dropping back to your heels, below the step.  repeat 15-20 times 3-4 sets  

  4. Jumping rope continuously helps. Also running up hills or inclines.
