How to increase sales and convertion rate?

Hi,

I'm trying to sell my new ebook through my site. So far I managed to attract a decent amount of traffic (around 400/day). However I found that the most difficult part is to convert this traffic and make actual sales. I now sell on avarage 1 copy/day. It means my current conversion rate is around 0,0025% :((.

What should I do to increase sales and conversion rate?

First of all, don't get discouraged by your currently modest conversion rate. This is a typical result if you're a newbie.

Here's what you should do:

1) invest in "professionally looking" design

2) try to optimize your landing page with conversion in mind and test, test, test - there is a lot of info out there on this topic..

You have to look at and rework your messaging on your page. There needs to be a broader call to action than you currently have. It's tough to say without actually seeing your site but the reasons for low conversion areeither the fact that there is a perception ( true or not ) that your product, a book in this case, is not worthwhile.or that it is priced to high. There are a million things that go into a purchasing decision. That's why us sales people get paid so well.

Do you collect your leads? You need to do that if you haven't. 400/day is a great amount of traffic and you shouldn't let it go to waste.

Or maybe the traffic that you get is not targeted. Try to identify who's your target market and your conversion rate will increase.

You need to do off-site optimization and get top ranking for your targeted keyword. You might want to try article marketing and get high quality backlinks from article directories.

You can actually write these articles yourself or you can hire professional article writers with SEO knowledge.

That's great that you get 400 a day.

The problem might be with the ad. though. Try rewording the Add each week to see the effect you get.

Good ads, create a need/desire in the reader for the product. So creating a need would be good and then presenting your ebook as the "answer" to the need.
