  1. Maximized ALWAYS covers the full screen. Is there a border around the desktop background? If you are SURE the screen really IS maximized, adjust the horizontal width and vertical height to fit the raster to the size of the screen  If you see a border around the desktop background, then it is the monitor height and width adjustments. The desktop background, even if set to NONE, will NOT have a border if the monitor is properly adjusted.
