How to increase torrent download speed upto2mbps or1mbps?

I am downloading torrent file but it is too slow and after completion it start sharing so what can i do without doing any change in internet connection I am using airtel broadband connection plzzzz help and replyy

I have to tell you that downloading copyrighted material is illegal and using a P2P client will eventually get you in trouble.

However, there are legitimate purposes for the P2P market. So, just keep this in mind please.

If you have a great connection on everything that you do but this, you need to check to see if your ISP is restricting the P2P content. As it stands right now, Comcast is the only one to be under FCC investigation for this, but a lot of ISPs are doing this and will be caught. So, best to do is call up the ISP to ask. Before you do though, keep in mind that a lot of CSRs do not know anything about this or they are told some ambiguous thing to tell you. You need to get someone higher up to see about this problem.

Depending on your torrent client, you will need to forward the download port within your router so its dedicated. Your client software should have details as to how to do this. Utorrent is the best one to use.

if youre using Utorrent (www.utorrent.com) go to options, preferences, Bandwidth.

set the global max number of connections to 400 for a 512kbps connection, 600 for 1mbps, and so on.

set the max number of connected peers to 150, 250, or so forth (depending upon the connection).

set max. download rate to 0, max upload rate to 15, 30, or so forth.

go to Queueing and set the number of active downloads to either 2, 3 or so on depending on your connection. minimum 2, max 5.

set the number of max active torrents to the same number.

by default windows allows only 10 or so half open TCP connections, but if you set it to 1000 then you can "talk" to a lot more people who can send you pieces of the file you are trying to torrent.
