How to increase torrent speed?

when i download with torrent it only give 5kb speed when i download other than torrent it give 55kb is there any way to increase the torrent freely

Two things get a bittorrent client running faster: Forwarding your client's port through your firewall and router and capping upload in your bittorrent client at 80% of your internet connection's upload capacity.

Torrent downloading depends on how many people are seeding it.It isn't like normal downloads.It's use to transfer bigger files because the downloader are also the uploader.So,the more people downloading the faster it gets.If you can't find torrents with seeders I suggest looking for regular downloads on mediafire,megaupload,rapidshare,......

at your router/modem open(or forward) the port used  by torrent client to your local IP address. look at http://portforward.com/
