*C O N T E N T* - this one is by far the very best method of gaining traffic. If you have a good content then

- post as many links to it as possible (by having them in your sig on forums etc.)

- update your blog regularly (IMPORTANT)

Be advised! They do generate traffic but it is the CONTENT which really, honestly does all the work!

Get other sites to link to you, or just have more interesting and informative material on your site. Remember, it's a meritocracy, people will visit the best blogs most often.
