inherited intelligence is product over sum, so a child from parents with identical IQs of 100 would inherit a IQ of 50, the brain is like a muscle it has to be used to develop it.

in my experience most people tend to repeat what they have heard, or read, rather than consider the issue and give an opinion based on rational thought.

you can increase your abilities by practising, if you listen to music, you will be able to recognise musics better. If you practise solving mathematics problems, you will do it better next time. So that's not only about IQ, but it is also about practising and hardworking.

O-o interesting.

Well when they test for your IQ, they usually test you in separate area. This inclues memory, critical thinking, counting and number patterns, etc.

While there is, i think, no exact way of training all of the areas, you can train them separately.

If you can, get a copy of your IQ scores, and see what areas you can improve in.

Then simply practice those traits,

Like for example: Memory. Maybe open a book, or take instrument lessons in which you could try to memorize a sentence or song. Eventually remembering these things should help.
