How to install Ubuntu 8.04?

I need help installing this operating system on my PC.

If you already have a separate drive or partition to install to, butn ubuntu to a disk then boot the machine with it in.

If you dont have access to a separate drive or partition on the machine you want to install to:

get http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.ph...

burn it to a disk

boot the machine with the disk in

make a partition

Reboot the machine with the ubuntu disk in

Install to the new partition.

Install it using Wubi. That way, you won't have to worry about repartitioning your hard drive.
