  1. If you do this way the boot files will be re written and Vista no longer comes in. because the boot setup for Vista is different. You need to do a BDC edit for that. I will soon pot the step by step instruction on my vista blog tonight. Please keep an eye on it.

  2. I know that this is possible.  I haven't learned how to yet, my computer class will be working on doing this all year actually.  All our computers here in the lab have Vista and XP.  How I am not sure if it's different drives but atleast it's the same computer and you would just need to sign out and you could get into either.  It is more advanced to do, you need to be good with dos.  If you ask me in like a couple months I might know ;D there might be a dos book or something you could find Im sure

  3. If you have installed XP only then you can install Vista on the same drive but if you have Vista already installed then it is really impossible to install XP then.

The order in which they are installed REALLY matters.

    HOPE THIS HELPS

  4. install microsoft virtual  machine , on that u can install win98 and winxp on windows vista at a time

  5. Here's a step by step guide on how to setup a dual boot scenario, if you have vista installed already.

Also, they have a guide for those that have xp and want to install vista for a dual boot. Enjoy
