These days, a common "booster" for ridiculously overpowered audio equipment in the humble 12- volt system car is the large- capacity capacitor. 1 Farad caps are simply wired parallel to the amp. supply. Your local supplier of audio equipment should know what to do.

you would install it in the same place you would put the capacitor (glad you went the correct route and did not waste your cash on a cap)

its just a car battery you can put it under the hood where the normal battery is or you can just tie it onto the line near where the amp is hooked up at just ground it good
