How to install a new Deck keeping the steering wheel controls?

S****y deck still stock from 1998 and i would like to insall a new one but i want to keep the steering wheel controls in working condition ??? can you set it up to work with the new deck? Also the 12 disk cd changer ???

very common and is easy to do.Grab a new alpine stereo. the new alpines have a wired remote input. Purchase a PAC audio's SWI-JACK steering wheel interface. Follow the directions.

The wire you need to grab is behind the radio in the radio's wiring harness, so you dont have to look for the wire in the steering column. the hardest part is programming the steering controls. just pay attention to the directions (and ignore the climate controls it tells you to program) and you will be fine. You can purchase the alpine cha-s634 6 disc changer and it is a direct input to the back of the alpine headunit, or even easier to install the Ipod input and use an ipod.
