Question:

How to install an MTX Thunderform 2008 F150 SuperCrew?

I recently purchased a new Pioneer head unit, and to match the system, I went with an MTX Thunderform Amplified Enclosure. Although I have not recieved the sub yet, I have a question pertaining to wiring. My HU has preamp outs on the back of the unit, is this all I need to install my subs, or do I have to splice into the rear speaker wiring? It seems to simple to be able to hookup a set of RCA plugs and a power and ground lead and be done. I hope this is the case, however, I have never owned a subwoofer. Any help or links to sites that would help me out is greatly appreciated.

  1. The RCA leads on the back of the deck are what you use. They will go directly into the amp for your sub.  Make sure when you route the wires for the amp, to have the shortest Ground Cable as possible with the best connection you can make.

When you have everything you should get the install sheets but this should do.......
