How to install attic drop down staircase?

Question

I want to install an attic staircase in my walk in closet. I will have to make an opening to do so.

(A)How do I install it step by step?

(B) Once I cut through the attic floor joists, won't I weaken the attic floor?

If you think you need to cut though joists to install it, you shouldn't be doing the installation!  They fit between the rafters. It's nothing more than cutting a hole, placing the stairs, shimming, fastening and doing the trim work.

Note: Call a respectable contractor. Your opening a can of worms you shouldn't be opening...
