  1. -Appear confident and pleasant. Clerical positions can have the most customer interaction of an entire office. Come across as personable, and they will notice that as an asset to your personality.

-Dress appropriately. Attire can make a world of difference in an interview- it shows just how seriously you take the job, and how seriously you'll take it when you get there.

-Practice your answers. Try to know how to answer basic questions such as "what are your strengths and weaknesses?" "how do you work under pressure?" "what would your friends say about you?" "why should we hire you?"

-Research the company beforehand, and find out some things about what role they're playing in the industry, any recent developments, things like that, and ask about them in the final part of the interview. Showing engagement in the company proves to them you're not just applying, you're looking to be a part of the company.

Hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck!
