I want to put away around $10,000 for my four year old grandson. I assume he will have access to it when he is 21. What is the best investment and what can I expect for a return?

  1. i think you can try overnight income investment. it more simple, workable and profitable. your money will grow daily

  2. Savings Bonds

  3. Any investment with interests, bonds or similar will get your grandson with 21 an amount, which will have the same value, adjusted for inflation, as 10,000 today (if he is lucky)

I would go for a Dow Jones Index Fund, with no load, that means  with no percentage paid to consultants.

What I wouldn't do is, go into stocks, any company can crumple. Mutual Funds usually underperformed the Dow.

Another thing you could do is, buy him a very expensive stamp or coin, that could be fun to have.
