i jog twice a week (staturday and sunday mornings)

i jog 2 miles

is that reasonable if you want to lose a stone in a month....also i walk to school ( 1 mile) i cant jog in the every morning because of school

  1. If that is all you do for exercise, you aren't going to lose much weight at all.  In order to lose weight jogging, you should jog at least 4 or 5 times a week.  2 miles is admirable, but try to get up to 5 miles once a week.  Then you'll start to lose some serious weight.  Good luck.


  2. Maybe if you jogged more consistently throughout the week, you may have a better result. The 2 miles is great but maybe you could scoop a few periods of the weekdays to jog a mile or 2. And if you are booming and not get aches and cramps, push that 2 mile limit to maybe a 4 or 5 mile run.

  3. The rule is that you burn the same amount of calories for the same distance. So if you walk, jog, or sprint 2 miles then you will use the same amount of energy. The faster you go the quicker you use the energy.

    So everyday you walk 2 miles (1 mile 2 and from school).

    Jogging is a better exercise because it increases your heart rate, so makes you fitter, not just leaner.

    You probably want to do at least 20-30 minutes of cardio workout every day. Though if you add this in a couple days during the week it should have you covered.

    Weightloss will result from a combination of factors, such as what and how much you eat and how much energy you burn.

    The best approach is to get into an overall routine and live a healthy life.
