How to jump a wave on water skiis?

i tried once and just flew out of my skiis... anyone know how too? I'm talkin on normal skiis, not trick skiis. or does anyone have a site that explains how to do it? thankss!!

If your skis came off, they must've been too loose on your feet. Tighten them up and try again.

You crouch as you go into the valley before the wave and push off just as you are clearing the top of the wave.  Unlike snow skiing, if you push up too soon, the skis will stick to the water and as you said, you flew out of your skis.   You just have to work on your timing and feel the push of the wave crest and push back.
