I know it's not a good thing to take kids to hospital. But my mom is going to be out of town and my sisters going to work. All my grandpas family is going to be at the hospital with me. So what can I do to keep her busy? We will be in a private waiting room, as this is a very serious surgery so I'd like to keep her entertained for as much as possible. Any ideas?

  1. If it's a private waiting room, you could take a portable DVD player. Make sure you take lots of snacks, drinks. You could have her pack a few of her favorite coloring books or books to read. Toys, blocks. Good luck. I hope the surgery goes well.

  2. Color book, a couple of new books or toys. Some snacks, juice, crackers etc. Not sure if you can use a dvd player in the hospital, but I'd ask first. Take water and her favorite blanket. Make sure take some empty plastic bags, you just never know when you will need one.

  3. Bring a book a coloring book maybe some play-do. A doll. Some snacks and drinks and you could make her fall asleep.

  4. there is no need for the baby to be at the hospital.  go to the park, get a sitter, just do the normal everyday things.  the last thing a patient or family members need is a young child in the hospital.
