Question:

How to keep a backpack AND locker organized?

Everyone gets the messy backpack/locker stitch. But in high school it doesn't take long for all the papers, tests, etc. to fall out of my binder and get cluttered with the rest of my junk in my backpack. How do you prevent a torn-up binder and torn pages falling out of my binder?

Lockers? They get filled with all the c**p from my backpack! Plus books, plus binders, plus lunch, plus pe clothes, plus sweaters I don't need... How do you keep it all neat and organized?

This is a huge problem for me. I can never find what I need.

Bringing home the right homework is also hard for me, since I have six different classes. Any tips to make sure I can bring home the correct homework so I can turn my work in on time?

I need as many tips as possible, since I have a problem with sticking to a routine.

  1. Get a folder for homework assignments. Make sure it is different from all of your other folders and is clearly labeled. Write your name, address, phone number, and class on every folder that you plan on using. It's easy to lose things.

You might want to get different folders for different classes.

Don't keep a giant stack of unorganized papers like I did. Make sure everything is in it's place. Also, recycle your old homework assignments as soon as you can.

I carry my lunch to make room in my backpack. But if you do this, you have to remember it. When you have multiple things to carry everyday, you need to be sharp and keep your mind on where you put your things.

  2. Get a weekly planner so that you can write down the homework that you get in each class so that at the end of the day when you go to your locker you can take the correct binders home and not leave anything behind. The best way to keep binders organized is to get binder dividers so that you can create a homework section, graded work section, graded test section/ quizzes, notes section and so on. I try to get binders that are different colors for different classes so that its easier to know which binder is which. Most important is to put only math stuff in the math binder and only english in  the english binder, that way you wont lose anything. And if you keep your backpack clean then your locker will follow. The best way to keep it tidy is to clean it out every friday taking home any sweaters that get stuffed in their, and throw out any garbage that gets put in their.

  3. OK to prevent all the torn binders and papers go to walmart and buy some duetangs they help me alot when in that situation now lockers, when you get home from school take everything out of your backpack and decide do i need this or is it junk. And about the homework have a place for it  so you know where it is i hope this helps good luck!!!!!

  4. Oooh. I was so messy in middle school, but then I entered high school and I knew it was time to get organized. I'll start out with my locker first:

Get a shelf in your locker, this'll create space in there, so you'll have two different areas, for me, I kept my books ontop, and various other things underneath.

Get magnet thing in your locker where you can store pencils, pens, highliters, things of that nature, writing untiensils.

I always had a mini calender in my locker, with soem post-it notes, I'd write down when big projects were due, things of that nature, on a post it note, and stick it on the calender.

As far as the sweaters go, at the end of each week, take them home if you don't need them. If you need your P.E. Clothes, take those home like a few times a week, wash them, and bring them back, but take the swseaters and other things out.

For staying organized in general, this is what I had to do: I got binders for all of my classes, and I'd get page dividers, I'd label them with things like. "Assignments, HOmework, notes, tests," Things of that nature, and once a week, I'd go through it, and clean all of them out, things I didn't need any more, but might help me study, went into a folder at home, that went into  a drawer where I could find it, after I knew I didn't need any of hte info in the folders, those would be cleaned out. I know this sounds like a big long process, but it will help you.

For your backpack, again, once a week go through it and clean it out. Recycle papers you don't need, designate one pocket for all your books and binders, one for your pencils, otes, and other things.

Get a pencil bag, this will keep all of your writing utensils in one place.

School can get hectic, but staying organized is key, hopefully this will help you somewhat. (: I'd relaly give the binder thing a try, it helped me so much,I was able to have everything in one place.

  5. you should get either 2 binders with 3 classes in it or 3 with 2 classes in it. and bring home all your binders. thats what i do even if i know i dont have hw in any of them because sooner or later i might remember something i forgot to do and need my binder. you should get a small tote bag like from zumiez or something and carry some of your stuff in there along with your back pack. take the time to orgaize yourself before school starts. go to target or staples and look for locker organizers that way you can put books on top and have things under the organizer.  i have the same problem but i never really deal with it but i should start dealing with it this year. hope i helped

  6. 1. I'm gonnna start with the locker/homework stuff

but first, take a look at this picture -

    http://www.organize-it-online.com/images...

its an expandible locker shelf. i had one, it really helps.

what i did is put books/folders from my first 3 classes under it, and the books & folders from my last 3 classes on top of it.

and always put them back in the right spot, which should be easy.

next, hang your backpack on (hopefully youll have one) a hook in your locker, in the same spot everyday.

and WHENEVER you get homework, then RIGHT DIRECTLY after class, put it straight into your backpack.

HERES A GOOD TIP: on the top of everything that needs to get back to school, write when. like "tommorrow" or "sep. 13"

(take your backpack home everyday, no matter what, unless of course there is an occasion where you have CHECKED that it is completely empty)

heres a  random tip that really should help:

hopefuly, your parents arent the kind that want all your checked work home, because that can be annoying. so if thier not, then take all passed-out homework and throw it out in the teacher's class trashcan. (unless its something that needs to be signed, then it would count as homework, and should be put striaght into your backpack after class.

always have one of those. dont be the annoying kid that never has any supplies or a sharpened pencil.

    _____ _________ _______ _________ _______ ______

    3. write this down on a paper in any order you like and make it easier for you to remember all these things.

    I HOPE I HELPED, REALLY =]

  7. My high school never had lockers and I had 6classes like everyone else and I survived lol. My back pack would get a lot of paper in there but just be organized. This is what you do. Take out the sweaters you dont need. Clean out your locker at least once a week (that could mean bring stuff home or throwing things you no longer need away). In your folder have 6 to 7 different colored and labeled dividers for each class.. the 7th could be your homework section.

Buy one of those hole punchers that attach to your folder to when you are handed a paper or assignment you can hole punch it and put it in the proper section in your folder (that way the papers dont fly away easily) also once a week clean out your folder at home only bringing what you need to school and nothing extra. Also clean out your back pack too.

To make sure you do the right homework ontime get a small notepad that you write down the homework for each class in then put that in you 7th section in your folder. Just creat a new habit of being organized.

Also organize your locker so that everything fits neatly and is accesable

  8. CLEAN IT ONCE A WEEK OR ON U'R FREE TIME THAT WHAT I DO

  9. well i think that if you have a whole bunch of stuff and you have both full. you should take wat you need for a certain class and put those books in the booksack and put wat you dont need in the locker and be organized with it

  10. try to get a binder with a zipper, five star has them

for the locker get a organzizer, try to get a stick on hook that you can take off after your done with school, you can hang your coast ad sweatrs there.

for gym clothes bring a duffel bag, and put it on a the top shelve.

for your books get a locker shelf.

and for forgetting your hw, get a planner/ agenda. write down all your homework then chekc it off when u have the write books you need.

    hope i helped! :)
