Question:

How to keep ink on a shirt?

So, here's the thing:

Tomorrow, I'm going to a signing for Tokio Hotel. They'll have a silver pen/marker (Not possitive if it's sharpie or what. Assume not.) and I'm considering getting them to sign my new Tokio Hotel shirt.

My question: How can I still wear the shirt, yet keep in the silver ink?

I've heard vinegar works, and so does heat. Is this true?

I'm willing to go to major measures to keep the ink in (even if it means handwashing it some special way to prevent it from fading.) I want the ink to stay in for at least... four months, if possible, with little to no sign of fading.

So. How do I keep the silver, possibly non-permanant, ink on/in my shirt?

If there's no way, I'll get something else signed - however, I don't have my CD case with me so I can't get it signed. If you want to answer, but don't know how to keep ink in - and even if you do and you feel something else would be better to sign (that ink does not fade over time in), suggest it as well, please.

Thank you.

  1. vinegar and cold water wash

You could also put tape over the signatures when you wash it

  2. I would go to the nerest art shop. You can get textile ink there.

  3. Have them sign a backpack (one of those ones that's like heavy canvas, I think) ? You don't have to wash those.

  4. turn it inside out and wash it in cold water and dont put it in the dryer
