The k***s on my dresser drawers keep coming loose. The k***s are metal and the screws go through from the inside of the drawers and go into the k***s about 3/8". Any suggestions as to how to keep them from coming loose all the time? Thanks!

  1. Try putting some glue on the threads, then put the k***s back on.

  2. Get some "lock tite" from your auto parts store. or try putting nail polish on the threads and s***w them tight and let it dry overnight.

  3. They are the darn-est things. It really hard to do....I just keep tighten  them up.

  4. I used a product close to lock tight but cheaper its called shoe goo and smells terrible but is heck when it sets up. Here in Okla its less than $3.00 for a tube.

  5. Use a product called lock tight.you can get it auto zone or car parts store or most hard ware stores or if you don't want them to ever come of use super glue.

  6. depending on what the k**b insert is made of you can do a couple things.

if your k**b is wooden and the threads are wooden you can put some wood glue in there and then tighten the s***w back up real tight.

if the insert is metal you can put a dab of loctite (blue) on the s***w and retighten the k**b.

  7. Take the s***w and wind some sewing thread around the spirals of the s***w.  Put some white glue on the s***w with the thread and s***w the k**b into the threaded, glued s***w.  Should hold it.

  8. Fireman4 is correct, Cassie. Put locktite on threads and you should have no trouble.

  9. It sounds like they might be stripped. You can get new nobs fairly cheep at Lowes. You could also taken one off and bring both the k**b and the s***w with you they might not be the right size for each other. New screws would be about a buck.
