How to keep myself busy 8 hour drive?

ok so i'm going to Las Vegas on thursday and i have my ipod but the problem is that it wont last for 8 hrs cause the battery will get low. What can i do to keep myself busy and listen to ma music without the battery getting low???

My ipod last over 10 hours.  You need a new one.  PSP's are awesome too for games and movies.

If you are a passenger, you will probably sleep most of the trip depending on how considerate the driver is.

If you are the driver, get the map out and look at the route you will take.  Plan on taking a break every one and a half to two hours - and stick to it. Even if there are no services (gas and food), get off the road and stretch and walk around for a few minutes. Stop for a meal, no drive thru's. Have plenty of water in small bottles and some light snacks with you.  Hopefully you will have a passenger along to chat with and help pass the time.  The passenger should be handling all the chores like fiddling with the radio, working the cell phone, checking the navigation.  Even though there are only 4 roads in and out of Sin City, it is still a very desolate drive.  If you have never driven this far before, give yourself plenty of time and make sure somebody knows where you're going and staying.  Lastly, it will be bloody hot with possible thunderstorms.  Check the weather.

1. Go out and but a car battery adapter for your ipod.

2. Why not get a book of word searches and crosswords or something like that. They are cheap and will keep you entertained for hours.
