How to keep the cities clean?

Put the cans and other garbage lying on the road in trash cans...and avoid littering.

Along with not littering one should clean up after their pets.

Newer cars do not have to warm up more than about 30 seconds when it's cold.  Save on gas and pollution.

Ride public transportation when ever possible.

If you have beaches do not leave trash on them .  Chicago has beaches and they are pretty good at keeping them clean.

Also, separate garbage for recyclables when you do throw it away.  

That should be a good start.
