How to keep unhemmed baseball pants over cleats

Well, I have these Mizuno Unhemmed baseball pants. I also found these strips of material in the back pocket, (are they elastic strips)?? Also, how do i keep 'em over the cleats, say 1-2 inches

I agree with Sean. Get some stirrups and wear your baseball pants the way a player is supposed to. Lots of stirrups and socks, pants only to just below the knee cap.

It is a classier , traditional look, not the "Barry Bonds" gang banger look.
