How to keep wasps away from me when i tan on my roof?

find where they are nesting,then get rid of it

believe it or not ,but teres alot places to build a nest on the roof,if you'll follow one you'll find the nest or location of the area get some xtrem wasp spray that has a 15to25 foot spray length get back as far as you can and letum haveit

dont use a fruity smelling tan oil, dont drink fruity smelling drinks. keep roof flowers to a minimum, use plants that are green, instead of flowers, it wont keep them away, but it will help reduce the numbers, check you dont have a nest, if you keep watch of where they are flying, they will take you to a nest.

And remember....dont flap about...they dont sting if not threatened, its only when you flap about that they get scared and sting you.

A Texas Yellow Jacket will drop down and nail you if you get within five or six feet of his nest. I don't think they feel threatened, I think they are just mean.

If you keep a thin plank handy, like a paint stirrer or a cedar shingle you can slap h**l out of 'em when they get close enough. They go down and don't get up. Try it, you'd be surprised at how good your aim gets. One thing you don't want to do while on the roof is panic and run.
