  1. Try ammonia for the balls and the only way to keep the felt clean is to keep dummys from staining it and dirtying it up. You know, the usual, no cigs, drinks, bloody fights. That reminds me I tried to clean blood stains off a brand new felt one time with hydrogen peroxide and it left bleached spots. So be careful what you use to clean the felt!

  2. All of those answers are dumb! I use hot water and dishwashing soap and it cleans everthing off of it. Wash them off and dry them with a towel and there clean and bright and ready to play.

  3. The best thing that I've ever come across to make my pool balls like new is Novus plastic polish #2.  Properly groomed pool balls play very differently from balls with smudges, chalk marks, fingerprints, etc.  My procedure for polishing pool balls is as follows: First, clean off the ball completely with a dry cloth.  If the balls are really filthy you can wash them in soapy water and dry them but I've never found it necessary.  It can't hurt anything.  Next, apply some of the plastic polish to the ball (about the size of a nickel per ball) and thoroughly and evenly rub all over the ball with another cloth.  Lastly, wipe off the polish with a third cloth and set it into a tray for a few minutes.  You'll notice a huge difference between just cleaning the balls and polishing them.  I've had my set of Aramith Super-Pro balls for a few years now and you'd swear I'd bought them today after a good polishing. I should point out that polishing is not the same as waxing.  Waxing actually leaves a residue on your cloth and your cue tip whereas a professional plastic polish will not, so don't confuse polishing and waxing.  This product wipes off completely.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  4. You always gotta wash your balls!

  5. You must have a mild case of OCD. And I just use baby oil.

  6. Polish the balls (do a search on billiard ball polish)  and keep food and drinks away from the table. Brush the table after use and keep it covered when you're not using it.

  7. You allllways have to keep your balls clean! I play trumpet and if you go to your local music store get some valve oil. It only costs like $3.00(estimated guess, dont count on it!)  Its not the BLACK oil that you put in your car...lol...Put the valve oil on a rag and wash them. I also have a pool table and to clean the felt, if you have chips or something on there, take a damp wet cloth and try and wet the table (dont soak it but just put it on the spots where it is dirty. ) Good luck!

  8. It hellps keeping ur table clean too.....use tape to get fluff offf.....and always wash the balls but dont polish!!

  9. Baby oil ??? ok ??

replace the felt with billiard CLOTH then keep it clean

on the balls i just use terrycloth towels if realy bad they make several washers for them Sorry dont even know what kind mine is
