How to kill Pegorino in GTA 4's last mission?

How to Kill Pegorino in GTA 4 last mission? I'm supposed to ride an annihilator helicopter and use the miniguns to shoot pegorino off his boat. Can i just follow him instead firing miniguns to him because it is hard to focus and fire the helicopter's miniguns.

Yes, you don't have to shoot his boat, although you wouldn't know for sure the first time.  As long as you don't crash your helicopter, Pegorino's boat will eventually catch fire, either just because or maybe because Jacob shoots it, but you don't actually have to.  It's scripted that way, and at the same time as Pegorino's boat catches fire, you'll also get hit by an RPG from them, no way to avoid it.  So both you and P have to make an emergency landing at Happiness Island.  After the cut scene of the landing, you simply have to chase and catch up to P and shoot him until the final cutscene.

Unless you're low on health, I suggest you focus on catching up to P's red dot on your radar, don't bother with any guys shooting at you, or if you shoot a few, don't slow down or get distracted for too long.

Kill all the people in the warehouse then use the motorcyle to jump to the helicopter then chase him in the boat then crash land on happiness island and kill him there!
