  2. I guess you mean Japanese beetles on perhaps elm trees? Are they red and black?  You spray them with a specific chemical you can get at the store, but once the trees get really big/tall, you really need to get a professional to do it.  It's the same guys that spray lawns & you can find them in the Yellow-pages.  They have a powerful engine in their truck and long nossle on the spray hose to get way up there.  I'm always afraid of the spray getting all over me, too, and these guys can protect themselves with masks and gear, which I dont want to buy.   If you have the bugs, then so do a lot of people in your area, and so the bug company guys come around on a schedule to do everybody at once --- they load up the liquid in their truck for one trip.  They usually spray 2 or 3 times a year -- usually in starting in spring is best.

  3. Bayer advanced disease and insect control.  It's made for roses, shrubs, trees, and other plants.  You can find it at lowes.
