do you know of any good websites (or would be willing to give?) that give step by step, easy to follow directions of how to make just simple mittens, nothing fancy, just a little ribbing and then the plain stockinette stitch. i would like instructions, not just a pattern (i have a hard time following all the fancy lingo) any help would be much appreciated.

  1. This is a great pair to make and the pattern is very easy to follow.  They're are sized for women, but her site also has the same pair for kids.  What I like about these is that you make them on 2 needles and sew up the side when you're done.

I make so many pairs of these a year I cannot even give you a number, I make a pair a day.  EASY stuff.  If there's anything you don't understand in the pattern, then just ask, I'll try to explain it better.

  2. Try searching on the Internet by "free knitting mitten patterns." If you search by "sue's knitting and crocheting," that will take you to http://www.suescrochetingandknitting, and I think she has a mitten pattern, but I'm not sure if it's knitted.

    Good luck!
