How to know about the job and visa status and other details of a software engineer in USA.?

My sisters marriage got settled with a software engineer in USA. We just want to confirm his job , visa status and few other details.How to find out? Will the company he works responds for such things if at all we mail them. or any other source to help us?

In the United States we have many privacy laws at both the state and federal level.  Giving out any information about your brother-in-law would be a serious breach of these laws and subject the person/company that gave you the information to serious criminal and civil consequences.

The only option you have is to hire a private detective in the vicinity of where your brother-in-law lives and have the detective conduct a background investigation.  You can find private detectives in the Yellow Pages....

Your brother-in-law's employer will not give you information about him without his permission:  that would be illegal.  The time to have assured yourself that he was legitimate would have been before you married your sister off to him, not after.  If you don't know him and don't trust him, you should not have done that.
